B16 BIG BOOK Spring 2015 | Cygnus Security Media www.SecurityInfoWatch.com Access Control & Door Hardware SDC's IP Pro TM Door Controller The world is wired. Internet cable is every- where. SDC's IP Pro TM IP-based Single Door Access Controller — with embedded software and expandable up to 32 doors — bridges the gap between traditional locking hardware and IT networks. Imagine the savings in cost and installation time not having long cable runs and power supplies for every door by simply tapping into the nearest Ethernet connection or eliminating controllers for powering access control devices. Until now, IP security systems have focused on networks, software and cam- eras, without truly addressing the missing link to any complete access control solu- tion: securing the door opening. The SDC IP Pro TM Controller allows for simple door access control via LAN or internet connected device. The controller installs easily at the door and only requires a single network cable, reducing costs. Expanding to additional doors is as simple as installing a new IP Pro TM door control- ler and connecting to the nearest network switch. Rounding out our solution are SDC IP Pro TM Injectors and Splitters and low power, PoE Capable Locking Hardware — the same robust, reliable SDC Locking Devices, Access Controls, Egress Devices and Power Transfer Devices the industry has relied upon for over 40 years. Gone are the days of mixing and matching dif- ferent brands of hardware, software and IP components. Everything is compatible and guaranteed to work. Customers select each component they need to adapt to their unique door system. The EcoFlex mortise lock platform is now available with internal end-of-line resistors for comprehensive monitoring of the circuit between the access control panel and lock. End-of-line resistors are commonly improp- erly installed at the access control panel or above the door, leaving the wiring to the lock vulnerable to undetected tampering or damage. In addition, the labor to add end-of-line resistors at the site increases installation costs and jeopardizes quality by relying on manual installation. Integrating end-of-line resistors into the lock not only eliminates the risk of unde- tected tampering, but reduces installation costs, simplifies specification, and offers the assurance of a factory installed and tested product. EcoFlex electrified mortise locks are also now available with a deadbolt privacy func- tion that disables remote access control unlocking (such as a keypad) or scheduled unlock when the deadbolt is engaged. This option is ideal for personal privacy areas such as nursing rooms, on-call doctors' rooms, and restrooms. With these newly available monitoring options, facilities can now easily apply request-to-exit, door position sensing, and deadbolt monitoring to an electrified mor- tise lock opening with a single SKU. EcoFlex electrified mortise locks reduce energy consumption up to 96% compared to standard electrified mortise locks, as cer- tified by GreenCircle. A 1 1/16" shallow backset works great in tight installations such as aluminum and concrete filled frames. This electric strike comes with 4 dif- ferent faceplates in the box, which means you will always have the right plate for the job. Our low current draw and ability to accept 12 and 24 DC, 12-24 AC voltage means you never need to worry about power. Trine has changed the market with the 4200's removable fascia. For decades, changing the faceplate finish (which you see 5% of the time) didn't mean changing the black ramp (which you see 100% of the time). Now the fascia and trim skirt can be changed to match the color of the frame making the best installation possible. This electric strike has the tallest latch cavity in its class, nearly twice what the competition offers. This provides flexibility for installers with everyday door prob- lems to make adjustments in the field and get off the job quickly. The flexibility of the 4200 is revolutionizing how electric strikes are perceived. For more information and specifica- tions on the new 4200 electric strike solu- tion, visit the website below.
